Our apologies in the delay in our testimonial, we have been too busy enjoying our new home McIntosh Home!
It all started after living in the community for 16 years and hearing about Doug and his Custom Home reputation we contacted him about rural lots.
Our first meeting with Doug McIntosh was at the 2 lots available on Concession 12. A gentleman we had never met before assured us that we could trust him. He would soon prove to be a man of his word!
My husband and I fell in love with the lot the moment we saw it. It was everything we were looking for. What we didn’t know was the beauty and craftsmanship of our new home that was soon to come!
Doug and Heather were amazing to deal with! All the trades worked so hard and always kept on schedule. They take so much pride in their work, something that is not too common these days. When you are building a home for the first time it can be very stressful. Doug and Heather eased our minds on numerous occasions.
They always had surprises for us along the way. They always have a smile on their faces and never a question that couldn’t be answered.
If you are looking to buy, think again. If you are looking to build, look no further!

Doug and Heather were always available to answer our many questions and attentive to any requests. We had some challenges with our building lot and made some minor design changes along the way. They were always very accommodating and worked closely with us to meet both our design expectations and our budget.
The workmanship is superior and it is obvious they have a strong relationship with their subcontractors. We are so thrilled with the results we have decided “summer home” is a far more suitable adjective to describe our new three season cottage.

The Lake House 2014
Our Lake House on the shores of Mississippi Lake built by McIntosh Homes exceeds all of our expectations. Doug was recommended to us as a quality builder and we approached him to take on our project. I remember our very first meeting, we came with some requirements; a narrow lot with an out dated septic system surrounded by some mature trees, and a proposed budget to work with. With Doug overseeing & Heather managing our project we were guided painlessly through the design phase, into the construction phase, to completion. We were very impressed with the enthusiasm & dedication they brought to the project. Being a custom home we had complete access to the site during the building which gave us the opportunity to meet many of the subcontractors. Meeting and talking with the subcontractors we soon realized the common theme, all professional craftsmen with a long history working on Doug’s projects. Heather did a great job managing the construction, running a well-organized site. One of the things Doug and Heather shared equality with us was the excitement of building our dream home, our Lake House. We have received no end of complements from family and friends that have come to enjoy our new home with us.
From our experience we recommend that anyone considering having a quality custom home built should consider McIntosh Homes.
